Ahhh..... We Meet Again!

Well I just realized that it has been an absolutely, ridiculously long time since I have blogged! You could say that I have "been really busy" or "Just couldn't make time to get it done", but in all reality I just got a little lazy and forgot! But! I am going to try to post a little more often, just to show you all what an amazing life I have!
Okay so let's start at the beginning! I GRADUATED! It was so amazing! We had some really awesome speakers and it was just a really momentous time in my life! It is something that I will never forget! That feeling lasted a good week after graduation and then I just kind of settled into summer vacation mode! Then when I had to go register for college it began to dawn on me that I am NEVER going to go back to high school! There are so many people that I will probably never see again, it was a realization that I was sad to come to. But I just shook it off and put the goodbyes out of my mind for the time being. Then before I knew it all of my friends were leaving me to go to their colleges, and little old me was just left here in little ol' Holbrook all by my lonesome! It was definitely hard at first, not to just be able to call up one of my friends to come hang out, but once school started I realized that between college, work, and family I was able to keep myself busy enough to not think about how far away all of my friends were. Now to talk about college! It is so fun! I love all of my classes and my professors are really awesome! My favorite class is my psycology class and I am thinking of majoring in psycology, but for now I am still on the road to becoming a RN. I always knew that by choosing to go to NPC I would have smaller class sizes, but holy cow! I am the only one in one of my classes and I gotta say it is pretty crazy! But overall college is way fun!
Ok now I'm sure that you are all just dying with anticipation to hear about what is going on at Taco Bell! Well let me just say that if there was ever a place where nothing changes it would be that place! There is nothing new going on there except for the fact that I have not punched some stupid people in the face! Taco Bell is just Taco Bell!! :)
I love where I am in my life right now! I have set goals for myself and I am continually working towards and I have been pretty busy! I miss all of my friends dearly, but I am thankful for Skype and Cell phones or else I think I would have gone pretty crazy with loneliness by now! I love my life and I would not change it for anything in the world!
I am really going to try and post weekly, but we all know how that might go! But I will for sure atleast post a lot more!! ( and I am sure that it will be a lot more interesting!)

Family Fun!

I love my family!! This past weekend I was able to go down to the valley to my Aunt and Uncles house and got all of my senior pictures and graduation announcements made! It is such a relief to have a few things checked off of my 'to do' list! I love scrap booking and card making but let me just tell you, It is very tiring when you got to make 30 cards! (They turned out freaking cute just in case you were wondering!) There were a few arguments here and there between me and my mother which is understandable because we are a lot alike. Once we get something in our head it does not leave until it is accomplished! We were trying very hard to not argue in front of my Aunt and at the time if you would have asked me I would have told you that we did a pretty dang good job of covering it up, but looking back I realized that some of our "hushed" arguments were not so hushed!! Even though we argued we managed to pull together and finish those cards! I am so grateful for my Aunt (if she wasn't there, there is no way they would have got done!) and most definitely for my Mom! I am definitely my mothers daughter!!

The Countdown!

My goodness! My days at Holbrook High School are officially numbered!! It is scary to think that this time next month I will be a high school graduate! Its scary, but nice! It is going to be different because I am so used to seeing all of my friends everyday and now there are going to be people that I never see again, but that is how life goes! We are going to have people come in and out of our lives all the time, some will stay in your life while others are only there for a little time. All I know is that I am going to miss them all! There will be few friends that I keep in touch with and even fewer that I actually see on a regular basis, but that doesn't mean that I will ever forget them! There are so many people that I would not be the same person if they weren't a part of my life! I love everyone and I will miss everyone in my class! The countdown has officially begun, but am I ready for it to end??

Oooohhhh..... Taco Bell!

GOODNESS!!! The days are winding down until graduation and I still feel like there are so many things to do! It is getting harder and harder to sit down and blog about it all, but I was told that I needed to blog (you know who you are!) so here it goes! Its been awhile since I have talked about work so let me share some funny things that I see working at a fast food joint!
Case one:
**ring ring**
ME: Its a great day at Taco Bell my name is Jennifer, how can I help you?
PERSON: Hi, I was just wondering if you were open?
ME: Nope I just thought I would sit up here while were closed just to answer the phone!
Case two:
We get all kinds of crazies up there but one of the worst was when we had this one guy come in with nothing but his whitey titeies on and asked me if I had seen the rest of his clothes. Really?
Case three:
I get a lot of pranks pulled on me at work but one of the funniest ones was when someone posted a sign on the drive thru speaker box that said, "Sing Happy Birthday to the person working drive thru!" Guess who was the lucky person working drive thru that night? Yup me, and I was extremely confused when every car that passed through would sing to me after ordering their food!  It took me a while to actually go out there and look for the sign! That prank was curteousy of my brother!
Case three:
We have all kinds of people that complain about something or another and here are a few of their complaints:
This food is too hot, you should have a warning label on it!
I want my tacos to look EXACTLY like the picture! (me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH you obviously don't eat out that often!!)
This music is way too loud (when we don't even have the music turned on!)
We have already eaten all of our food but it wasn't that good so we would like a refund!

Sometimes it is fun working in fast food but sometimes we get a lot of jerks too! But that is going to have to be a blog for another day! (Yes Kory, there will be another Taco Bell blog!) It is moments like these that make my job fun! and if any of you have a good prank, next time I am on drive thru... BRING IT!!

What can I say... I'm a small town girl!!

As graduation is getting closer and closer (eeeeekkk!!) I have come to the realization that I really am going to miss Holbrook! I know, I know if you would have asked me this six months ago I would have said, "Heck NO, I'm getting outta here!!" but lately I have been thinking about all of the things that I love about Holbrook, so here is my list:
1) I love how you know everyone and everyone knows you. We are a close community with so many people that truly care about the City of Holbrook. Not many places are like that!
2)Even though there is nothing to do here, it just forces us to be creative on how we can "hang out"! you cant play hide in seek in cars or get scared by a scary man sleeping in a van, in other towns.
3) The relationships that are built. We all know eachother since we were in Kindergarten. (well not me since I didn't get here til 3rd grade, but still....)
There are many things that I love about Holbrook, I have made so many amazing friends, created long-lasting memories and I am really gonna miss this place when I go to college... Holbrook is definetly one of  a kind and I am glad that I had the opportunity to grow up here!

Life is an ADVENTURE!!! So Live it!!!!

I know this is a little late, but a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to the Out of Africa park in Camp Verde, and let me just say, It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We were able to see Lions, Tigers and Bears (oh my!) up close and personal and it was amazing!! At two thirty the park was putting on an event called tiger splash, and this was where they would take two tigers into a caged arena, with a pool, and they would play with the tigers! It was so amazing, but all I could think about was that these people were in a cage with an animal that would love to eat them for lunch!! I thought they were crazy for doing it but, after they started going at it and playing with them I kinda wanted to join in! You could tell that the workers there had formed some kind of a relationship with the two tigers and that the tigers trusted them. Then I started to think aboutmy life... Have I really lived up to anything?? Is there anything that I can truly say made my life adventurous?? Sadly the answer is no, but I still have a lot of life ahead of me! There are going to be so many new adventures and challenges for me to face and I can either hop on for the ride or stand back and watch those memories and opportunities pass right on by me! So that weekend I made a decision! Life IS and Adventure, and I'm gonna start living it!! (although I can't say that I am going to be jumping in a cage full of lions any time soon!! :D )

STOP and THINK!!

How many times do you actually STOP at a stop sign? I know that I am guilty of slowing down just enough to make sure that the way is clear and then taking off to get where I am headed! But one day while I was taking a walk I saw a stop sign and decided that I needed to blog about it so here I am! Life goes by way too fast and I know in my life it seems like I am always going and going, not taking the time to actually stop and enjoy life! Stop signs are there for a reason! If we don't take the time to stop at a stop sign the results could be bad! We could get in an accident or hit someone! But I believe that similiar things could happen if we get too caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, we could end up hurting someone we love, or seriously damaging the way we are headed! Our paths are gonna change we will be headed one way and then have to take a detour, but no matter what way we take, the only important thing is that we get to where we are headed! With all the craziness that comes with being a senior I have spent the week actually taking a step back to stop and enjoy my life! I know that I was meant to be here this day, this hour, this minute! I am here for a reason but why not just stop and enjoy what God has given me??
