STOP and THINK!!

How many times do you actually STOP at a stop sign? I know that I am guilty of slowing down just enough to make sure that the way is clear and then taking off to get where I am headed! But one day while I was taking a walk I saw a stop sign and decided that I needed to blog about it so here I am! Life goes by way too fast and I know in my life it seems like I am always going and going, not taking the time to actually stop and enjoy life! Stop signs are there for a reason! If we don't take the time to stop at a stop sign the results could be bad! We could get in an accident or hit someone! But I believe that similiar things could happen if we get too caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, we could end up hurting someone we love, or seriously damaging the way we are headed! Our paths are gonna change we will be headed one way and then have to take a detour, but no matter what way we take, the only important thing is that we get to where we are headed! With all the craziness that comes with being a senior I have spent the week actually taking a step back to stop and enjoy my life! I know that I was meant to be here this day, this hour, this minute! I am here for a reason but why not just stop and enjoy what God has given me??

  2. I loved this message when I read it last week, but I'm just barely getting around to commenting on it now. Sorry haha

I think this is very profound, and I think we can see one effect of not "stopping" displayed perfectly in Frankenstein. Victor gets so wrapped up in what he's doing several times in the book, and each time things go horribly wrong for him. If only he had stopped once or twice to think about what was going on, his life would have ended dramatically different.

The second effect of not stopping though I think is far more unfortunate. When we don't "stop and look both ways" we miss out on all the good things that are happening in our lives. Far too often we just roll right through the stop signs and never take the time to as you say "enjoy what God has given us." I absolutely agree, and think this is an awesome message. We really do need to stop and enjoy what's going on in our life from time to time.
